Denton, Texas.
A town full of aspiring artists, freethinkers and flat-earthers…and MURALS!
A few months back, I spent some time in Texas with friends that grew up here. They introduced me to some of Denton’s best nightlife, live music venues, bars and street art. I saw tons of murals around town and I begged everyone to come with me to take photos!
As a card-carrying Millennial, you know I jumped (literally) at the idea of exploring and taking Instagrammable photos in front of street art.
The majority of murals can be found within walking distance of the courthouse. Built in 1896, the historic Denton Courthouse sits in The Square at the center of town. My friends and I spent most nights on the lawn of the courthouse playing Harry Potter Clue and eating ice cream.
I was surprised to find so many beautiful and unique murals around the city. Just a short drive away from Dallas, Denton is an Instagrammer’s dream.

I really think this may be the most millennial post on my sister’s site. Up next…trying every flavor Starbucks frappuccino. JUST KIDDING.

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing.
This is so fun! I was born in Texas and lived there for 14 years, but somehow I’d never heard of Denton before. I’m in love with all these art and mural pics, though, so I may need to go back! <3
We love stumbling into great murals around this country. It looks like we need to head to Denton Texas. It does look like an Instagramers’ dreamland.
