Uncommon Perspective from Both Sides of the Media Fence
What do you get when you take a natural-born storyteller with a public relations degree, more than a decade of PR agency experience and an award-winning travel and lifestyle blog? A rare multilingual communications hybrid who speaks both corporate jargon and bloggerese. Angie combines corporate communications know-how with 15 years of blogging insight to create her engaging, informative and influential travel and lifestyle-focused brand.
You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking to align with a respected digital influencer to share engaging, first person experiences of your destination or product with an established readership. Angie Away has worked with DMOs, hotels, airlines, cruise lines and tour operators across the globe on customized, strategic campaigns that bring travel to life for readers and make an impact on sales and bookings.
Having represented some of the largest and most recognizable travel and consumer brands as an agency publicist, Angie creates solutions that satisfy both client and influencer. For help creating compelling traditional media strategies and shareable digital initiatives, from FAMs to ambassador programs to influencer campaigns, drop her a note.
Angie rarely takes group press trips, as the hectic pace isn’t conducive to thoughtful storytelling. Instead, she focuses on impactful influencer campaigns and tailored individual visits. Get in touch if you’d like Angie to experience your destination! When your destination or brand needs more than one voice, Angie can coordinate a customized multi-blogger marketing effort with her extensive Rolodex of versatile influencers.
Need a trusted spokesperson for your campaign? Angie has served as a brand ambassador for Yahoo Travel, Travelocity, Rocky Mountaineer, AFAR and others.
Want to inject some sass into your Twitter party? Or spice up your Instagram feed with fresh, colorful travel photography? You know who can help. With a large following herself, and years of experience, Angie is perfectly positioned to help you take your social media output to the next level.
Angie only works with brands that are a sensible fit for her “roots and wings” lifestyle. Occasionally, and for a fee, she’ll review travel and tech gear, beauty products, fashion, luggage, home and DIY/craft items. Be advised her good opinion is not for sale, and every product featured on Angie Away is experienced and endorsed personally - and most importantly, honestly.
Need someone to regale your audience with tales of travel adventures, public relations mishaps and the wild world of Millennial social media behaviors? Angie is the go-to!
Angie is a content creator at heart, so should you require press materials, content for your web site, magazine editorial or RFP copy, she can help. Get in touch for a quote.
Though Angie’s work most frequently pops up in print and online, she can also be seen in front of the camera, contributing to talk shows, red carpets and travel shows. To chat about an on-camera assignment, click here.
Banner ads, pop-ups and such aren’t really a fit with the Angie Away vibe, but if you’ve got a creative partnership idea, she’d love to hear about it.
If you’d like to discuss any of these opportunities, email Angie. You can also request a digital copy of her Media Kit.
