After 18 days in Bali, I’ve seen enough beautiful sunsets to get some sort of award. (Ok, maybe the sunsets are the reward!) A significant daily event, watching the sunset over the sea in Bali is worth planning your evening around. Why not? Everyone else does!
Seminyak Sunset
I must’ve spent at least half of my sunsets with Pam & Kirsten, my two favorite Dutch gals. We spent our first week doing sunset yoga together at the ONEWORLD Retreat in Ubud, followed by our escape to the beach where we vegged on the sand with mojitos and snacks one night, then got dolled up for a night on the town at The W Bali the next.

Once Pam & I got to Surf Goddess, we had a dozen cohorts to share sunset with at swanky Ku De Ta, poolside at Villa Serena or on the white daybeds at Cocoon. After such physically active days, it was the perfect way to wind down with the gals.

Next stop, the swanky, serene Oberoi Bali with Pam. It’s possible we saw the best sunset from here through the palms that fringe the gorgeous pool area.
The Oberoi Bali is perfect for romance…or in our case, a mellow girls’ weekend.
One night, the brilliant Oberoi staff found us a few mats and we did yoga on the beach as the sun went down, saying “inhalation, exhalation, inhalation, exhalation” in the same accent as Iyan from ONEWORLD.
Would you believe we still weren’t tired of yoga?
